Program Coordinator
I serve as the Program Coordinator for the Digital Scholarship Center, working on multiple research projects funded by the Mellon Foundation grant. Collaborating with our many transdisciplinary research teams from across the university and partnering institutions, most of my work focuses on developing and executing innovative methodologies for text analysis and reporting findings of said analyses through various means. I hold degrees in sign language interpreting (undergraduate) and applied linguistics (graduate), with the completion of my PhD in Applied Linguistics in early 2020 (Lancaster University, UK). My personal research is situated in the field of critical discourse studies, implementing methodologies from corpus linguistics and systemic functional linguistics to study the relationship between language and power and the implications ideological discourse has on continued marginalization and inequality in society.
